Classes & Support Groups
Attending classes, groups and other events hosted by Adventist HealthCare gives you a welcoming place to learn and share your thoughts about pregnancy, labor and parenting.
How Much Will Birth Cost?
Contact your insurance provider to find out what services they’ll pay for and what you may owe for a copay. Depend on our helpful patient services staff to help you understand what your insurance plan covers and talk about your options. Reach a Shady Grove Medical Center representative at 301-315-3660 or a White Oak Medical Center representative at 301-891-5567.
Preregister at the Birth Center
At least four weeks before your due date, preregister for your hospital stay at Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center or Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center. Enjoy peace of mind knowing our staff is preparing to make your experience as smooth as possible.
Your Baby’s Car Seat
After delivery, be ready for the car ride home with a safe car seat. Talk to your doctor or your child’s future pediatrician about the car seat that’s best for your baby and your vehicle.
Car Seat Inspection
Adventist HealthCare doesn’t provide car seat inspection services. But you can get a free car seat check in Montgomery County when you call 240-777-2223. Call 301-772-4880 for an inspection in Prince George’s County.
What Should I Have at Home?
To care for yourself and your new baby when you come home from the Birth Center, you’ll need certain items, such as diapers, baby wipes, feeding supplies and sanitary pads. Talk to your providers about what to stock up on.
