Adult Intensive Outpatient Programs

The Adult Intensive Outpatient and Structured Outpatient Programs provide substance abuse treatment for individuals 18 years and older, who have substance use disorders. Our programs seek to empower individuals to break free from their addictions by providing services that treat substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

We are dedicated to meeting people where they are and helping them uncover the root causes of their addictions. Since our program is conducted for three hours in morning, participants have the rest of the day to work, attend school and maintain other commitments while living at home and receiving the treatment they need.

Our clinicians are compassionate and dedicated to helping individuals learn the skills necessary to achieve recovery. The staff members in this program are licensed mental health clinicians or credentialed in substance abuse treatment.

Evidence-based treatment approach

The Matrix Model Intensive Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Treatment Program curriculum is used to intervene with patients via group work intervention. This evidence-based curriculum utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing in a variety of mediums (handouts, videos, peer recovery volunteers and research articles) to enhance the experience of the patient and their loved ones during treatment.

A unique component of the treatment experience includes a weekly multi-family group session which is facilitated with patients and their loved ones. Because substance use disorders challenge even the strongest family bonds, this group meeting serves to help families understand the recovery process and address issues that most families face when a loved one is in recovery. Research has shown that family involvement significantly improves treatment outcomes.
