Feel peace of mind knowing if you or a loved one needs emergency care, our team is available 24/7. When you arrive at the hospital, you may work with:

• Emergency department physician – Doctor with advanced training in emergency medicine
• Neurologist – Doctor who diagnoses and treats brain and spine conditions
• Neurosurgeon – Physician who specializes in surgery of the nervous system
• Radiologist – Doctor who uses medical imaging to diagnose and treat health problems
• Stroke nurse responder – Nurse with training to recognize signs of a stroke and provide emergency care
• Stroke program coordinator – Nurse who manages stroke care services and helps coordinate your care

Multidisciplinary Care at the Hospital

In the days after the stroke, you may also get care at the hospital from:

• Bedside nurse – Provides care and education during your hospital stay
• Occupational therapist – Helps you regain skills to do daily tasks
