Forbes Names Adventist HealthCare to Maryland’s Best Employers List for Third Straight Year
Gaithersburg, Maryland – For the third consecutive year, Adventist HealthCare has made the list of America’s Best-In-State Employers 2022 in rankings by Forbes and Statista Inc., a leading global statistics company.
The repeat honor comes during a time of growth for Adventist HealthCare, which operates community hospitals, physician practices, and specialty health services in more than 50 locations in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties in Maryland. Adventist HealthCare also manages Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. The healthcare system also continues to lead its workforce and patients through challenges from COVID-19, as it did when it won the recognition in 2020 and 2021.
Adventist HealthCare’s organizational goals include a focus on being the "Best Place to Work and Grow" for its employees.
"Our team members play an integral role in the health of the communities we serve. They are dedicated to our mission of healing, and we’re committed to honoring their work, meeting their needs and being a leading healthcare workplace," says Brendan Johnson, Adventist HealthCare Senior Vice President for Human Resources.
Forbes and Statista America’s Best-in-State Employers list is based on an independent survey of approximately 70,000 U.S. employees working for companies with at least 500 people in their U.S. operations. In the anonymous survey, employees ranked their companies on criteria such as workplace safety, compensation and advancement opportunities. They also were asked how likely they would be to recommend their employers to others.
