Week 3 Q&A with Johanna

We spoke with Johanna following her third week in the academy to see how things were going. Here's what she told us.

What was something an instructor taught you this week?

This week we learned about the cardiovascular system and all the important vital signs. We were able to practice taking each other's vital signs.

Did you learn anything that surprised you?

I learned about the four chambers of the hearts and how they all contribute to our body. Also, plasma is 90% water and 10% of dissolved substances.

What excited you this week?

I was very excited to perform EKG's and learn how to use the telemetry box!

What challenged you this week?

What challenged me the most is getting familiar with the upper and lower respiratory system. But studying it, made me understand it a lot better than before.

What has the experience been like with your fellow trainees?

My instructors and everyone in the CNA academy have become a lot closer. We all help each other out.

On a scale of 1-10 how difficult was this week?

This week's difficult level was about a 5.
