About Hamza Rana
Hamza Rana, MD, MSc, RVT, RPVI is the only area physician uniquely board certified by both the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine and the American Board of Vascular Medicine.
Dr. Rana received his fellowship training in minimally invasive vein treatments from the Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at NYU Medical Center in New York. Before moving to New York, he completed a National Institute of Health sponsored Fellowship training in vascular medicine at the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, Wake Forest University Medical Center in North Carolina.
Dr. Rana has extensive experience in vein disease treatment and has helped thousands of patients with vein diseases. He is a member of the American College of Phlebology and the American Venous Forum, as well as a member of other professional societies. Dr. Rana serves as a member of the Fellowship Program Development Task Force Committee of the American College of Phlebology.
Dr. Rana has published in leading peer reviewed medical journals and has authored or co-authored several book chapters, including one for the American College of Phlebology textbook entitled "Endovenous Ablation in the Management of Varicose Veins". He has received numerous awards including the Society for Vascular Medicine Young Investigator of the Year Award in 2012.
