About Tizita Tessema
Dr. Tizita G Tessema, DNP, is a dedicated nurse practitioner with Adventist Medical Group in Silver Spring. With several years of experience as a nurse practitioner at MFA George Washington University, Dr. Tessema is passionate about primary care and has a proven track record of providing excellent patient and family education on managing acute and chronic health conditions.
Dr. Tessema earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN, and is a proud member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She has served as both a primary care nurse practitioner and a registered nurse for several health systems throughout Washington, DC for 15 years.
Beyond her professional life, she loves cooking with her friends and family and listening to music. Dr. Tessema also enjoys ballroom and salsa dancing in her spare time.
