About Homam Ibrahim

Homam Ibrahim, MD, is an interventional cardiologist with Adventist HealthCare Cardiac Associates. He obtained his medical degree from Tishreen University School of Medicine in Syria and completed a residency in internal medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital/Weill-Cornell Medical College in Texas. Dr. Ibrahim pursued a general cardiology fellowship at the renowned DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center, followed by a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. His commitment to staying at the forefront of his field led him to advanced training in structural interventions and transcatheter valve procedures at New York University.

Specializing in transcatheter coronary and valve interventions, Dr. Ibrahim offers a comprehensive range of procedures without the need for open heart surgery. His skills encompass transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), transcatheter mitral valve repair and replacement, transcatheter tricuspid valve interventions, coronary interventions, and percutaneous closure of patent foramen ovale (PFO) and atrial septal defects (ASD).

Prior to joining Adventist HealthCare, Dr. Ibrahim worked at NYU Langone Health in New York City, where he served as the Director of Inpatient Services and the Director of Research at the NYU Heart Valve Center. During his tenure, he evaluated over 2,000 patients with valve disease and performed more than 1,500 procedures. Dr. Ibrahim is also particularly known for his expertise in high-risk coronary interventions. His exceptional contributions have earned him repeated honors, and his work has been featured in multiple publications and high-impact journals.
