About Paul Massimiano
Paul Massimiano, MD, is board certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Surgery, and is a cardiac surgeon with Adventist Medical Group. He has a distinguished career in cardiac surgery spanning more than 30 years.
Dr. Massimiano earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at National Naval Medical Center and did further cardiac surgery training through fellowships at Yale New-Haven Hospital and St. Vincent Heart Institute.
Dr. Massimiano is the medical director of Minimally Invasive Heart Surgery at Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center. He has also served on medical staffs at Inova, Virginia Hospital Center and National Naval Medical Center.
Dr. Massimiano is one of the region's foremost experts in minimally invasive heart surgery, including minimally invasive mitral valve surgery – a procedure that he helped pioneer.
He is deeply committed to providing excellent patient care and high-quality outcomes. Dr. Massimiano sees patients at the Silver Spring office and performs surgery at White Oak Medical Center.
