Your PGY1 Pharmacy Residency
Our ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency Program builds on your Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and training. The program develops clinical pharmacists responsible for the medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, across broad demographics. Graduates of our program are eligible and prepared to apply for board certification, to pursue Post-Graduate Year 2 (PGY2) Pharmacy Residency training, and other advanced opportunities.
During your residency year, you will:
- Provide care across diverse environments and populations
- Be an integral member of the multi-disciplinary health care team, responsible for medication therapy outcomes
- Conduct practice with a high level of maturity and leadership
- Complete and present practice-related research
- Teach patients and other professionals about medications
- Provide education to pharmacy team members and pharmacy students
- Develop a personal plan for professional development
Residents will complete core rotations, choose from several electives and participate in research projects or other longitudinal activities.
