About Daniel Griffen III
D. Leonard Griffen, MD, FACC is the Chairman of Cardiology at Laurel Regional Hospital.
Dr. Griffen obtained his undergraduate degree at Iowa State University and his medical degree from University of Iowa College of Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship at the National Naval Medical Center. Dr. Griffen also completed additional training in echocardiography Laboratory at Duke University. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases as well as Advanced Echocardiography.
Dr. Griffen specializes in transthoracic, transesophageal and stress echocardiography. His professional interests include diagnostic cardiology, congestive heart failure and adult congenital disease.
