Adventist HealthCare Executive Earns Top Health Care Management Credential
Rockville, Md. - James G. Lee, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Adventist HealthCare in Rockville, Md., recently earned the distinction of board certification in health-care management as a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the nation’s leading professional society for health-care leaders.
“By becoming an ACHE fellow and simultaneously earning board certification from ACHE, health-care leaders can show that they are committed to providing high-quality service to their patients and community,” said Thomas C. Dolan, Ph.D., president and chief executive officer of AHCE.
Fellow status represents achievement of the highest standard of professional development, with only 7,500 health-care executives holding this distinction nationwide. To obtain fellow status, candidates must fulfill multiple requirements, including passing a comprehensive examination, meeting academic and other criteria, earning continuing education credits and demonstrating professional/community involvement.
“James’ accomplishment is further evidence of the competence, judgment, integrity and ethics that he lives every day and contributes to the mission of Adventist HealthCare to demonstrate God’s care by improving the health of people and communities through a ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing,” said William G. “Bill” Robertson, President and CEO of Adventist HealthCare.
Lee has been with Adventist HealthCare for more than six years and has served as the organization’s Chief Financial Officer of the organization for the past three years. He served previously as Chief Financial Officer with Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, Md.
He has been involved with a range of community service projects including Rebuilding Together, which assists homeowners in need and Community Tax Aid, which provides tax filling assistance to low-income people.
“I am thankful for the opportunity to demonstrate my commitment to Adventist HealthCare and the community we serve by achieving this certification,” Lee said.
Lee, a Montgomery County resident, holds a Master of Health Administration degree and a Master of Public Health degree, both from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, Calif.
